Your Privacy Choices
This page describes your rights with respect to personal information BatchData may hold about you, and how to exercise those rights. For full details about how BatchData collects, uses, and protects personal information, see our Privacy Policy.
BatchData is a registered data broker under California, Vermont, Texas, and Oregon law. See our Privacy Policy § 16.8 for our data broker registration disclosures and § 16.9 for our participation in the California Privacy Protection Agency’s DROP universal deletion system.
Your Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the following rights with respect to your personal information.
(a) Right to Know and Access. You may request that BatchData disclose: (i) the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you; (ii) the sources of that information; (iii) the business or commercial purpose for collecting, selling, or sharing it; and (iv) the categories of third parties with whom we have shared it.
(b) Right to Delete. You may request that BatchData delete personal information we have collected about you, subject to legal exceptions (including completing transactions, detecting security incidents, complying with legal obligations, and other exceptions permitted under Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.105(d) and analogous state law).
(c) Right to Correct. You may request that BatchData correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
(d) Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing. You may direct BatchData to stop selling or sharing your personal information, including sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise this right, select “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” in the request form on this page or enable Global Privacy Control in your browser (see below).
(e) Right to Opt Out of Targeted Advertising. You may opt out of the processing of your personal information for the purpose of targeted advertising on third-party websites and platforms. Use the toggle on this page or enable Global Privacy Control.
(f) Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information. Where applicable law grants this right, you may direct BatchData to limit its use and disclosure of your sensitive personal information to the purposes specifically authorized under Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.121(a) and applicable regulations.
(g) Right to Opt Out of Profiling. Where applicable law grants this right, you may opt out of profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning you. See our Privacy Policy § 5.1 for BatchData’s profiling and automated decisioning posture.
(h) Right to Non-Discrimination. BatchData will not discriminate or retaliate against you for exercising any of these rights. Without limitation, BatchData will not deny you services, charge you different prices or rates, provide you with a different level or quality of services, or suggest that you may receive a different price or quality of services because you exercised any privacy right.
(i) Right to Suppression (Covered Persons). If you are a Covered Person under N.J.S.A. § 56:8-166.1 et seq. (Daniel’s Law), Cal. Gov. Code § 6254.21, or any analogous state or federal statute providing identity-protection rights for judges, law enforcement, prosecutors, victims of violence, or other protected categories, you may submit a suppression request that takes effect across BatchData’s database and propagates to downstream recipients of BatchData data. See our Privacy Policy § 7 for the Covered Person suppression process.
How to Submit a Request
You may submit a request through any of the following channels:
- Request form on this page (preferred for opt-out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising).
- Email: [email protected].
- Mail: BatchData Privacy, [physical address].
- California DELETE Act / DROP: California residents may submit universal deletion requests through the California Privacy Protection Agency’s Data Request and Opt-Out Platform (“DROP”). BatchData honors DROP-propagated deletion requests in accordance with the California DELETE Act (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.99.80 et seq.) and applicable regulations.
If you are submitting a request on behalf of another individual as an authorized agent, you must provide: (i) written, signed permission from the consumer authorizing you to act on their behalf, or a valid power of attorney granted pursuant to applicable state law; (ii) verification of your own identity; and (iii) verification of the consumer’s identity. BatchData may directly contact the consumer to confirm that the consumer has in fact authorized the agent to act on their behalf.
Verification of Identity
To process your request, BatchData may ask you to provide additional information to verify your identity. We will only use this information for the purpose of verifying your identity, validating an authorized agent’s authority, and responding to your request, and we will not use it for any other purpose. If we are unable to verify your identity, we may not be able to comply with your request, but we will inform you of the reason. BatchData may maintain a record of the request, our response, and related correspondence for our records and to demonstrate compliance with applicable law.
Global Privacy Control
BatchData honors Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) opt-out preference signals. When you enable GPC in a supported browser, BatchData treats that signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act, the Colorado Privacy Act, the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, and other state laws that recognize GPC. To learn more, visit globalprivacycontrol.org.
Your GPC opt-out is specific to the browser and device you use to enable it.
Response Timing
BatchData will respond to verifiable requests within 45 days of receipt. We may extend this period by an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary, in which case we will notify you of the extension within the first 45-day period. California residents may submit verifiable consumer requests up to two times in any twelve-month period free of charge, consistent with Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.130(a)(2).
Appeals
If BatchData declines to take action on your request and you reside in a state that grants an appeal right — including Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, or Virginia — you may appeal our decision by sending a written appeal to [email protected] within the time period required by applicable state law. We will respond to your appeal in accordance with that law.
Minors
BatchData does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under sixteen (16) years of age. Consistent with Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.120(c), BatchData will not sell or share the personal information of a consumer it knows to be (i) under thirteen (13) years of age without the affirmative consent of the consumer’s parent or guardian, or (ii) at least thirteen (13) and under sixteen (16) years of age without the affirmative consent of the consumer. If you believe a minor’s personal information has been collected without required authorization, contact us at [email protected].
